This year LRF’s mini Film Festival will celebrate British Classics by screening some of our favourites: Transporting, The King’s Speech, Chariots of Fire and Withnail & I. Held in the extraordinary Temple Cinema – a 19th-Century Masonic Temple hidden away in the Andaz London Liverpool Street Hotel.
Dinner will be before the film at Lady Abercorn’s, within the Andaz. Gourmet popcorn and a Rémy Martin cocktail included.
A 90s British Classic. For a unique, consummately entertaining, and yet utterly harrowing look into the life of heroin addicts, this movie offers open-minded viewers an unforgettable experience.
For many the ultimate cult ‘coming of age’ tale. An irreverent, scorchingly witty and tragic tale of friendship and the touching farewell to a lost era.
The King’s Speech’ A riveting, intimate account at how a British king triumphed over a speech impediment with the help of an unorthodox speech coach. An Oscar-baiting historical drama.
A film with heart, character and a respect for one man’s faith, Chariots of Fire remains one of the most spiritually uplifting film ever made.
