With your first course in one top London restaurant, your main in another and dessert in a third, London's most original gastronomic road trip is always a sell out. Last year we revealed intriguing new itineraries, both walking and aboard our fleet of Routemaster buses, in Soho and Clerkenwell.
After a reception with our official champagne, Laurent-Perrier, guests ride an iconic red Routemaster bus across the capital and enjoy a lunch unlike any other.
This year the three Gourmet Odysseys will be themed:
On Saturday 29 September, to lead into the festival-proper, we will showcase some of the hippest of London's East End hang-outs. After a Champagne reception at the Old Bengal Bar, Gourmet Odyssey-goers will visit the recently-opened Tramshed by Mark Hix, the magnificent subterranean bar at Hawksmoor in Spitalfields and the elegantly utilitarian Brawn on Columbia Road. Where you enjoy each course will remain a surprise until the day itself. What you can be sure of is that your lunch will be uniquely brilliant.
During the festival itself, two further Odysseys will run and focus first – Saturday 6 October – on Classic Masters of London's restaurant industry and then, finally, on Saturday 13 October, the newest restaurants that have taken the capital by storm.
During the Classics Gourmet Odyssey guests will enjoy a different Champagne from Laurent-Perrier with each course.
