Angela Hartnett is one of the most high-profile women in the restaurant world. During her childhood, Angela's Italian grandmother and mother installed in her an appreciation and love of good food, and the principal inspiration behind her celebrated Italian restaurants in London. Café Murano is Angela's newest site in the heart of London's Covent Garden.
Theo Randall is widely considered one of London’s best Italian chefs. Having worked as head chef at The River Café for many years, he has both exceptional pedigree and a commitment to using the finest available seasonal ingredients at his eponymous restaurant inside the InterContinental hotel on London’s iconic Park Lane.
Tom Aikens is one of the UK’s most acclaimed and inspirational British chefs. His remarkable career has taken him to David Cavalier’s in Battersea, Pierre Koffmann’s La Tante Claire, Pied-à-Terre and Joël Robuchon in Paris to name a few. At 26, Tom became the youngest British chef ever to be awarded two Michelin stars.
Originally from Australia, Skye Gyngell is now one of Britain’s most respected and acclaimed chefs. After initially training in Sydney and then Paris, Skye moved to London to work at The French House before taking on the role of head chef at Petersham Nurseries. It was at Petersham that Skye became renowned for her distinctively seasonal, elegant cooking, inspired by what she saw growing and blossoming around her. Spring opened in Somerset House in 2014.
An icon of global gastronomy. At Mosimann's in Belgravia a ``passion for excellence`` has characterised Anton Mosimann's innovations in fine food since the earliest days, and remains superbly evident in every flavour that graces the palate. Mosimann's is a private members club but will open for American Express Cardmembers for this exclusive event.
Michelin-starred Outlaw's at The Capital is seafood master Nathan Outlaw's only London restaurant. The menu showcases the best seasonal produce and a constantly-changing selection of British fish is delivered daily from Cornwall. The intimate restaurant is located inside the quintessentially English 5-star Capital Hotel in Knightsbridge, moments from Harrods.
Having changed how we approach a dinner party, Yotam Ottolenghi is one of the country's most recognisable chefs; his style of cooking is one of the most interesting and modern in the UK. NOPI is Ottolenghi's flagship restaurant which references the location, 'north of Piccadilly'. The menu changes according to the seasons but signature dishes include courgette and manouri fritters and twice-cooked baby chicken with lemon myrtle salt and chilli.
Nuno Mendes' Taberna do Mercado captures and reinterprets Portuguese food and flavours whilst championing specially sourced Portuguese ingredients. Offering a day in the life of a typical Portuguese 'Lisboeta', Taberna is open seven days a week for breakfast, petiscos, tinned fish, pregos and bifanas served with regional wines and beers.
Philip Howard is known in the London restaurant scene as one of the most refined and modern chefs. With a degree in Microbiology from Kent University, he has a unique scientific perspective on the process of cooking and the ingredients he uses. His cooking style, however, is focused entirely on flavour and the delivery of pleasure rather than innovation and the need to impress. Elystan Street in Chelsea is his newest restaurant.
Re-launched in 2012 with Jeremy Lee at the kitchen's helm, the historic restaurant and private members club is renowned for serving hearty, seasonal British food. There's a unique personality to his cooking, with an emphasis on simplicity and impact. With a bespoke menu that will combine the influences Jeremy has taken from his many years in the industry, Cardmembers can be sure to enjoy a unique menu from one of London's longest-serving and most influential chefs.
