From 3 – 17 October 2011 the prestigious neighbourhoods of Mayfair and Belgravia will be taking part in the London Restaurant Festival – a city-wide celebration of the Capital’s outstanding culinary offering.

For those with a sweet tooth, the Belgravia Chocolate Tours on Friday 14 and Sunday 16 October will guide chocoholics around the area’s finest delectable destinations.

Divine chocolate and sweet treats can be devoured at a range of specialist retailers, including the delicious and quirky Rococo Chocolates, renowned chocolatier William Curley, exquisite cake-maker Peggy Porschen and French patissier-chocolatier Pierre Herme. At Rachel Vosper, guests will have the chance to try their hand at chocolate candle-making, whilst Lowndes Bar and Kitchen will be offering chocolate afternoon teas.

In partnership with Livebookings, London Restaurant Festival Menus are the capital's most inspiring restaurant promotion and a fundamental part of making the event universally accessible. The Menus are specially created by the hundreds of participating restaurants and are available to customers throughout the Festival period.

Side orders

A fundamental part of the London Restaurant Festival are the 'fringe' events which we call Side Orders. While LRF creates and operates the larger scale events as outlined opposite we really encourage all those working in the capital's restaurant scene to get creative and devise their own events to run throughout the festival. In 2010 we had over a dozen of these Side Order events going on including the Savoy Truffle Club, Bistroteque pop-up, a Cloudy Bay wine and food matching dinner and Street Kitchen, the mobile restaurant in an airstream. All were a sell-out and garnered plenty of publicity. No matter how small or how off-the-wall, we are interested in hearing your ideas and including them in the line up for LRF 2011.
