Mon Plaisir

Mon Plaisir, 21 Monmouth Street, London WC2H 9DD (Tel: 020 7836 7243), is London’s oldest French restaurant and has been a purveyor of the finest French cuisine for over half a century, a rare entity in London’s fast-changing restaurant scene.

In 1942 Charles de Gaulle dined at Mon Plaisir, and for generations this family-run institution has been serving authentic French cuisine. During the London Restaurant Festival head chef Frank Raymond will be offering diners a culinary regional tour with a daily changing three course set lunch menu for £15. Regions covered will include Burgundy, Brittany, Languedoc, Normandy, Haute-Savoie and many more.
