Cantina Winter Terrace

Cortina – Italy’s most glamorous ski resort – comes to London as Italian restaurant Cantina del Ponte opens its Italian ski lodge and terrace on the banks of the River Thames. The Cantina ski bar will be serving rich, creamy hot chocolate, warming cocktails made from traditional Italian liqueurs and bagna cauda, a classic Piedmontese dish, similar to fondue, with fresh seasonal vegetables dipped into a hot anchovy and garlic sauce placed in the centre of the table.

The Winter Terrace will be open for the duration of LRF

Side orders

A fundamental part of the London Restaurant Festival are the 'fringe' events which we call Side Orders. While LRF creates and operates the larger scale events as outlined opposite we really encourage all those working in the capital's restaurant scene to get creative and devise their own events to run throughout the festival. In 2010 we had over a dozen of these Side Order events going on including the Savoy Truffle Club, Bistroteque pop-up, a Cloudy Bay wine and food matching dinner and Street Kitchen, the mobile restaurant in an airstream. All were a sell-out and garnered plenty of publicity. No matter how small or how off-the-wall, we are interested in hearing your ideas and including them in the line up for LRF 2011.
