Aldo Zilli is hosting a special parenting event at his Soho restaurant, Zilli Fish in association with festival partner, iVoucher.

The event is designed to welcome mums, dads and their young babies into the restaurant with none of the usual worry about bringing a young child into a social dining environment.

Zilli Fish will be providing high-chairs for their young diners and all babies will be given a complimentary meal from Aldo's organic baby food range, Baby Zilli. Under fives will also be eating for free and are able to choose from a child-friendly healthy menu, as well as being provided with colouring books and games.

The four course tasting menu starts with a glass of Laurent Perrier champagne, and showcases Aldo's signature seafood cuisine, including Lobster Ravioli with Shellfish Bisque and Baked Wild Bass with Wild Mushrooms & Truffle Oil.

Side orders

A fundamental part of the London Restaurant Festival are the 'fringe' events which we call Side Orders. While LRF creates and operates the larger scale events as outlined opposite we really encourage all those working in the capital's restaurant scene to get creative and devise their own events to run throughout the festival. In 2010 we had over a dozen of these Side Order events going on including the Savoy Truffle Club, Bistroteque pop-up, a Cloudy Bay wine and food matching dinner and Street Kitchen, the mobile restaurant in an airstream. All were a sell-out and garnered plenty of publicity. No matter how small or how off-the-wall, we are interested in hearing your ideas and including them in the line up for LRF 2011.
