Will it be Boris or Ken?

With just over six months to go to the election of the next Mayor of London, the race for the capital’s biggest political prize is hotting up. As part of LRF Pizza Express has designed a Boris and a Ken pizza. Vote with your mouth.

The most popular pizza will be revealed at this year’s London Restaurant Festival Awards on Oct 17th.

Boris, £10: If you like our Sloppy Giuseppe, you’ll love a Boris. A meaty combination of spicy beef and onions with peppers with a mop of grana padana on top.

Ken, £10: If ‘red’ Ken is your man, try our twist on the new Pomodoro Pesto. An abundance of sweet red tomatoes, pesto and fresh basil topped with avocado – one of Ken’s favourite foods – and rocket for this keen gardener.

In partnership with Livebookings, London Restaurant Festival Menus are the capital's most inspiring restaurant promotion and a fundamental part of making the event universally accessible. The Menus are specially created by the hundreds of participating restaurants and are available to customers throughout the Festival period.

Side orders

A fundamental part of the London Restaurant Festival are the 'fringe' events which we call Side Orders. While LRF creates and operates the larger scale events as outlined opposite we really encourage all those working in the capital's restaurant scene to get creative and devise their own events to run throughout the festival. In 2010 we had over a dozen of these Side Order events going on including the Savoy Truffle Club, Bistroteque pop-up, a Cloudy Bay wine and food matching dinner and Street Kitchen, the mobile restaurant in an airstream. All were a sell-out and garnered plenty of publicity. No matter how small or how off-the-wall, we are interested in hearing your ideas and including them in the line up for LRF 2011.
