To celebrate the third annual London Restaurant Festival (3rd – 17th October), some of London’s top pubs and dining rooms are inviting you take a truly gastronomic road trip.

Wednesday, 5 October
Chiswell Street Dining Rooms, The Hat & Tun, The White Swan, The Botanist, The Cadogan Arms

Start the evening with cocktails and canapés at The Chiswell Street Dining Rooms before moving onto The Hat & Tun for a starter, The White Swan for the main event, The Botanist for pudding and finally, The Cadogan Arms for a nightcap. As well as dishes that include seared Isle of Man king scallops with crisp bacon and pea purèe, Dorset crab and brown shrimp pâté with Melba toast and Yorkshire roe deer ‘Wellington’, there’s a tasting plate of desserts awaiting at The Botanist with delights such lemon meringue pie; Devonshire custard tart and baked damson cheesecake. The evening finishes at The Cadogan Arms with coffee, digestives and a game of billiards on one of the pub’s three American eight-ball pool tables.

In partnership with Livebookings, London Restaurant Festival Menus are the capital's most inspiring restaurant promotion and a fundamental part of making the event universally accessible. The Menus are specially created by the hundreds of participating restaurants and are available to customers throughout the Festival period.

Side orders

A fundamental part of the London Restaurant Festival are the 'fringe' events which we call Side Orders. While LRF creates and operates the larger scale events as outlined opposite we really encourage all those working in the capital's restaurant scene to get creative and devise their own events to run throughout the festival. In 2010 we had over a dozen of these Side Order events going on including the Savoy Truffle Club, Bistroteque pop-up, a Cloudy Bay wine and food matching dinner and Street Kitchen, the mobile restaurant in an airstream. All were a sell-out and garnered plenty of publicity. No matter how small or how off-the-wall, we are interested in hearing your ideas and including them in the line up for LRF 2011.
